North Star Café, a division of The Arc Ontario, is a full-service coffee shop providing inclusive employment opportunities for people of all abilities in our community.
 
We offer great local coffee from Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters in a unique retail space on Main Street in Downtown Canandaigua, NY. All profits from North Star Café are reinvested into The Arc Ontario, providing even more innovative programs and services for people with disabilities or other challenges right here in Ontario County and the surrounding region.

Why North Star Cafe?

North Star Café is a division of The Arc Ontario, a not-for-profit agency providing innovative programs and services for people with disabilities or other challenges and their families. Just like the North Star, The Arc Ontario guides the way, helping us find our place in the world.
 
The bear that is the focal point of our brand logo symbolizes Ursa Major (“the great bear” in Latin).  It is one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky and travels around the North Star.  Together, the bear and the North Star support one another and are a recognizable constant in an ever-changing world - just like North Star Café.
